There’s a lot of buzz about the need to create the work life balance, and to be free from the constant pressures of office life, according to the latest research from HR software firm, HR Guru.

But a lot can go wrong during the transition, and for many people, the most critical part is actually getting back into the office.

The key, according the firm, is the mindset of the employer: “You’re the boss, not your employees,” said Paul Riggs, the head of HR Guru’s corporate-services department.

The study found that 40 per cent of employees report that their work-life balance is affected by having to leave work early.

This is the first time the firm looked at how employees felt about leaving their desk, and found that only 12 per cent reported feeling like they could do more in their work.

Another problem is that the majority of employees, 77 per cent, were unable to get home early, the report said.

A significant number of employees said they’d prefer to work from home because they’re more productive, said Riggs.

“A lot more people are looking at a variety of different ways of working, so it’s interesting to see where they’re coming from,” he said.

“They don’t have to work in the same environment.

They can go different directions and get things accomplished differently.”

The findings suggest that employees should consider the impact of the workplace environment on their personal well-being and how it affects their work, according Riggs and the HR Guru research team.

The company recommends employees use a productivity app, such as Microsoft’s Flow, to track their time, and use a daily calendar for tracking their work hours.

Other tips include making sure to set a daily deadline and to work with a partner to schedule your time.
