Pakistan TV Shows Off 10 Most-Watched TV Shows in 2018
Pakistan, home to one of Asia’s largest TV markets, saw its TV viewership increase by nearly 10% last year, according to data released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Pakistans TV audience has now topped the U.S. in terms of number of subscribers, according a report by TV Analytics.
The number of people watching TV has also climbed to an average of 8.7 people per household, a rise of 20% over the past two years, the ministry reported.
It also noted that more than 1 million Pakistanis had access to the internet.
The increase in TV viewership is partly due to a surge in the number of households watching television, the report noted.
The average household watched about 30 hours of TV per week last year.
