Celebs ‘are not criminals’ – actor claims he did nothing wrong after video emerges of him on video doing sex act with woman in a pub
Celebrity actor James Deen claims that he was ‘not a criminal’ after video emerged of him performing oral sex on a woman in an Irish pub.
Deen appeared on a US TV show to promote his film ‘Sex and the City 2’ in which he is a regular performer.
He was in a bar in a Dublin pub with his wife, Amber Heard, when he was approached by a woman he later identified as his friend, according to the New York Post.
The video of the encounter shows Deen performing a sex act on the woman in front of the camera and then making eye contact with the camera.
Deens lawyers said the alleged incident was consensual.
Dees lawyers said Deen’s behaviour was ‘unacceptable’ and that his actions did not constitute a crime.
The actor was booked on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, lewd and carnal intercourse, sexual assault, criminal possession of child pornography and criminal trespassing.
Deen is also facing criminal charges for assaulting a police officer.
The woman said she and her friend had been drinking at the bar when she approached Deen.
She said she had told him she had been in a relationship with Deen and that he had asked her to do the sex act.
“He grabbed me by the arm and tried to pull me back into his room and put his hand up my skirt,” the woman told the New Yorker.
“I told him to stop, I didn’t want to be in his room.”
The woman and Deen then had sex.
She claimed that afterward, she asked Deen to leave.
“The next day, he asked me to come back and I said no.
He said I should have left, but I didnt, and he grabbed me again and pushed me against the wall.”
There was no warning.
I was terrified.
“Deen and Heard were arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday and booked on two counts each of lewd acts on a person under 14 and criminal sex act, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.
A spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Children and Families said the department had received Deens complaint.
