What happens when you have a man who can’t control his emotions and has to be a hero?
Posted by CBC News on Thursday, January 18, 2019 05:37:24After nearly a decade in prison for his role in the 1993 killing of James “Rusty” Karpinski, James’ ex-wife, Linda Karpitzi, has finally emerged from prison.
The 60-year-old retired Ottawa Police officer was sentenced to life in prison on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder.
A judge has ruled that he can’t be released until 2028.
His family has called him a hero.
His lawyer said she wants him to be treated as one.
James Karpitchis family says they are grateful for his continued support.
He will serve out the rest of his sentence in the Canadian Women’s Prison in Ottawa.
